About Dory Direct

Dory Direct started with a neighbor and a shared frustration. One of us owns a lake-view rental between Neskowin and Pacific City — a real place with a real local presence — but searching for a Central Oregon Coast rental only ever turned up the big aggregators: Airbnb, Vrbo, Vacasa. Small, privately owned places like it were nearly impossible to find unless you already knew they existed.

So the two of us are building a directory just for those places — vacation rentals owned and hosted independently, searchable by town, view, and the things that actually matter (hot tub, beach access, pet friendly), with every listing linking straight to the owner's own booking page. No platform fee added at checkout, no aggregator between you and the owner, and no anonymous account managing someone else's property.

Every listing is reviewed by hand before it goes live. We're not an open marketplace anyone can list on unchecked — it's a small, hand-picked directory, starting on the Central Oregon Coast (Neskowin, Pacific City, Cloverdale, Tierra del Mar, Sand Lake, Hebo, Tillamook, and Lincoln City) and expanding up and down the West Coast from there.

Listings are free during the pilot. If you own a rental in the area and want to be found by travelers who'd rather book direct, list your property — it takes a few minutes, and you keep booking however you already do.
