Privacy Policy

The short version

We don't collect any information on travelers browsing the site — no accounts, no logins, no tracking of who you are. If you own a rental and submit a listing, we collect what you give us in that form to review and manage your listing, and we never publish your contact details or exact address.

Information from property owners

When you submit a property through List your property, we collect your name, email address, property details, and the property's address. The address is private — we use it only to place an approximate map pin (deliberately offset, not your exact location) so travelers can see the general area. Your name, email, and address are never shown publicly; only the listing details you intend to publish (photos, description, amenities, town, and your own booking link) go live once we review and approve the listing.

We use this information to review, publish, and manage your listing, and to contact you about it — for example, to follow up on your submission or reach you about your property. We don't sell or share it with anyone else.

Information from travelers

Dory Direct doesn't have accounts, logins, or booking forms for travelers. Every listing links directly to the owner's own site or booking page — we never see or process your payment or personal travel information. We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (Vercel Analytics) to see aggregate, anonymous traffic patterns like which pages are viewed; this data can't identify you personally.

AI-assisted listing tools

If you use the optional "Fetch details from my site" or "Let AI write this listing" tools when submitting a property, we read the public page at the URL you provide to help pre-fill the form. We don't access anything beyond that page, and nothing is stored beyond what you choose to submit.

Where data is stored

Listing and owner-contact data is stored in a hosted database (Neon) and served through Vercel. Both are reputable infrastructure providers; neither has independent access to use your data beyond hosting it for us.
